Services for Ray Egy, 82, rural Winterset, who died May 15 at the Winterset Care Center North, were held Saturday, May 17, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Morrow officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.
Born in Madison County June 20, 1903, he was the son of David and Mertie May Rehard Egy. He was a lifetime resident of Madison County, a farmer and a member of the Farm Bureau.
On Feb. 16, 1927, he was married to Helen Haymond in Des Moines.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Donna Egy of West Des Moines and Shirley Bossenberger of Ames; a brother, Joe of Winterset and a sister, Hazel Case of Newton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a daughter, four brothers and three sisters.
