Page 3Funeral of Wesley Osgood
The remains of Wesley Osgood arrived here Wednesday morning from Roswell, N. M., at which place he died last Saturday.
Mr. Osgood was born in Carthage, Ills., in 1874. He came to Madison county in 1893 and lived with his father on a farm west of town. In 1900 he moved to Weatherford, Okla., and August 23rd, 1905, he was married to Miss Flora Leech, of this place, and they made their home near Roswell, N. M., to which place they went on account of his health.
Wesley Osgood was a man of culture and refinement and respected by all who knew hom. His health had not been good for several years but with all he was ambitious in his business and labored at a great disadvantage on account of his weakness. He leaves a young wife besides his father's family to mourn his loss.
The funeral services were held at the home of R. L. Leech this morning, Rev. J. H. White officiating and the remains were intered in the city (Winterset) cemetery.

Thursday, April 2, 1908Death of Wesley Osgood
Our readers will remember two young people of this community who were married some two and a half years ago and started to Oklahoma to live; we refer to Miss Flora Leech and Wesley Osgood. Their home was in Weatherford, Oklahoma, Mr. Osgood having engaged in the real estate business in that thriving new town.
Some time ago he was attacked by that fatal disease, consumption. Several weeks ago, Mr. and Mrs. Osgood went to Roswell, New Mexico hoping much from a change of climate, but to no purpose.
Mr. Osgood died last Saturday and his body accompanied by the heart broken wife, arrived here yesterday. The funeral service was held at the residence of Robert Leech today at 10 o’clock, Rev. J. H. White officiating.
