Alvin Robert Cameron, Winterset

Services for Alvin Robert Cameron, 73, Winterset, who died at home Monday, July 25 of an apparent heart attack, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 28 at the First United Methodist Church of Winterset with the Rev. Byron Ayres officiating. Burial will be at the Scranton Township Cemetery, Scranton, Iowa, with graveside services at 3 p.m.

Born Sept. 12, 1909 at Macksburg, he was the son of James Elmer Cameron and Rosilla Ellen Pinckeny. He was married to Alta Brown May 28, 1934 in Green County, Iowa. Mr. Cameron was a retired farmer and mechanic.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Elmer C. of Davis City; daughters, Alice Blair of Lorimor and Mary McConnelee of Winterset; a brother, Paul of Fairfield Bay, Ark.; a sister, Margaret Gulbranson of Lincoln, Neb.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter and a brother.

Visitation will be held at Collins Funeral Home from noon to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27.
