Arthur M. Cameron, Osceola

Services for Arthur M. Cameron, 93, of Osceola Leasure Manor will be held Wed., Nov. 7 at 1:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Clarence Lautt officiating. Cameron died November 3, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines.

A lifetime resident and farmer in Madison and Union Counties until going to the nursing home in 1984, he was born April 19, 1897 to Albert James and Rebecca Rachel (McCord) Cameron. He married Grace M. Patton May 8, 1918 in Winterset.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son, two brothers, a sister, a granddaughter and three infant grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons, Philip and Ray of Winterset and Rex of Osceola; three daughters, Margaret Gowin of Carroll, Barbara Lightner of Creston and Beverly Fenimore of Des Moines; a daughter-in-law, Lorraine Cameron of Granada Hills, Calif.; 23 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Arthur M. Cameron of Osceola were held Wednesday, Nov. 7, 1990 at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Clarence Lautt officiating at the 1:30 p.m. service. Interment was in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Des Moines.

Mr. Cameron, a resident of Osceola Leisure Manor, died at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines Saturday, Nov. 3, at the age of 93.

Arthur McCord Cameron was born April 19, 1897, in Madison County, the son of Albert James and Rebecca Rachel McCord Cameron. May 8, 1918 he was united in marriage to Grace M. Patton in Winterset. He spent most of his lifetime farming in Madison and Union counties. He was a resident of Osceola Leisure Manor since 1984.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Grace; son, Robert Cameron; brothers, William and Walter; sister, Nellie Ham; one granddaughter, Lisa Fenimore, and three infant grandchildren.

Surviving are sons, Phillip and his wife, Ruth, of Winterset; Ray and his wife, Vicki, of Winterset; and Rex and his wife, Sharon, of Osceola; three daughters, Margaret and her husband, Howard Gowin, of Carroll, Barbara and her husband, Don Lightner, of Creston, Beverly and her husband, Doyle Fenimore, of Des Moines; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Cameron of Granada Hills, Calif.; 23 grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
