Cliff Martin, 79, of Villa West died Saturday, April 14, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 17, at 2 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home. Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Helmers officiating.
Born April 22, 1899, in Scott Township, he was the son of Frank Gilmore and Junietta Rollstin Martin, who preceded him in death. A lifelong resident of Madison County, Mr. Martin was an army veteran of World War II and was a filling station operator and tank wagon driver from 1934 until 1969.
He is survived by a brother, Rex Martin of Winterset, and a sister, Mrs. Lois Hartley, also of Winterset.
