Frances M. Corkrean, Winterset

Services for Frances M. Corkrean, 88, Winterset, who died Jan. 22 at her residence, were held Monday, Jan. 26, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Maurice Schulte officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Rantoul, Ill., on April 19, 1898, she was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Wingle Kirvin. She lived most of her lifetime in Madison County, was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Hoosier Prairie Club and the St. Joseph Altar and Rosary Society.

She was married on Jan. 20, 1922 to James A. Corkrean in Winterset.

Survivors include sons, John of Cumming, Phillip of Macksburg, Pat and Larry, both of Winterset; daughters, Elizabeth Neal, Mary and Sue Corkrean, all of Winterset; sisters, Ann Carney of Winterset and Alice Roach of Indianola; 40 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son, and two brothers.
