Rex Rollstin Martin, Winterset

Services for Rex Rollstin Martin, 83, who died Feb. 27 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held March 2 at the First Christian Church with the Rev. John Shaull officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Winterset Aug. 27, 1901, he was the son of Frank and Junietta Rollstin Martin. He was a lifetime resident of the area and had been in business in Winterset for 35 years as owner of Martin Bros. Oil Co. He retired on Jan. 1, 1970.

Mr. Martin was a member of the First Christian Church and had served in the Iowa National Guard.

On June 23, 1926, he was married to Lorraine Kirby at Yankton, S.D.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Phyllis M. Levitt of Minneapolis, and Mary Jo Pahs of Denver Colo.; a sister, Lois M. Hartley of Winterset; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
