Bea Lavalleur, Winterset

Beatrice Juanita Lavalleur, 85, of Winterset died from complications of Alzheimer's disease June 10, 1999, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.

Graveside services were held today (Wednesday, June 16) at 10 a.m. at Greencastle Cemetery in Colfax with Dr. Bobby Dickerson officiating.

Bea Lavalleur was born Aug. 11, 1913, to Lewis Lafayette and Della (Conwell) Lavalleur of Winterset. She spent most of her lifetime in Winterset except for six years in Howard, Kan., between the ages of 5 and 11. A homemaker and baby sitter, Bea also was a member of the First Christian Church in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Funeral Home in Winterset.
