Stella M. Burch, Winterset

Services for Stella M. Burch 94, Winterset, who died April 10 at the Winterset Care Center North, were held Fri., April 13 at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Leonard Leslie officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born on March 26, 1896 in Earlham, she was the daughter of Hans and Rena Peterson. She was a teacher in Lorimor until her marriage to Harry Burch on June 26, 1919 in Earlham.

Mrs. Burch lived all her married life in Winterset and was a member of the First Christian Church, the Women's Federated Club, the Columbian Club, the Clover Club in Lincoln township and was a Christian Women's Fellowship 4-H leader in the 1930's and 1940's and sang with the Madison County Women's Chorus.

Survivors include a son, John of Punta Gorda, Florida; daughters, Beverly Stanley of Columbus, Ohio, and Maxine Burch of Omaha, Neb.; nine grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and a sister.
