Estella Pearl White, 92, died of a heart ailment May 20, 1999, at Riverwood Extended Care Facility in Aitkin, Minn.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 25, at the First Christian Church in Winterset with Dr. Bobby G. Dickerson officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.
Estella White was born Aug. 14, 1906, in Madison County to Mathew (Will) and Eda (Weeks) Vaughan. A 1925 graduate of Winterset High School, she married Lawrence (L.J.) White on Dec. 4, 1926, in Winterset. Estella had been a Sunday School teacher and also volunteered as a Gray Lady at Madison County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Winterset. After spending most of her life in Winterset, she moved to Minneapolis, Minn., in 1983 and then to Aitkin, Minn., in 1991.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by two sons, Robert White (wife Betty) of Panora and Ronald White (wife JoAnn) of Aitkin, Minn.; 5 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Funeral Home in Winterset.
