WILLIAM PENDER Died Last Friday

William D. Pender, aged 59, died last Friday, June 4, 1948, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Ben Davis of Winterset.

Mr. Pender had been a resident of this community most of his life, although he was born at Council Bluffs on June 10, 1888, the son of Harvey and Mattie Pender.

Near surviving relatives include his sister, Mrs. Ben Davis and Lottie Pender, and a brother, Sherman Pender.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Burton L. Nay of Cedar Falls. Burial was made in the Baptist cemetery north of Winterset.
