DAYTON W. KRELL Died on Sunday

Dayton W. Krell, retired Winterset rural mail carrier, died last Sunday, June 6, 1948, after a long period of failing health. He was 81 years of age.

Mr. Krell had been a resident of Madison County since childhood. He was born Sept. 3, 1866, in Dayton, O., the son of J. H. and Mary Wissler Krell. As a small boy he came with his parents to Webster township.

He was married here March 17, 1892, to Bertha Hart. They were the parents of four children, three of whom preceded him in death.

After several years in Webster township, he moved his family to Winterset and spent 21 years as a rural carrier from the Winterset postoffice.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Stanley Krell of Des Moines; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. R. E. Langholz of St. Paul's Lutheran church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
