Services for Cloyd Richard Lamb, 81, Winterset, who died Feb. 7 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held Monday, Feb. 10 at the First Christian Church in Winterset with the Rev. Bob Brite officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.
Born at Thayer on Dec. 4, 1904, he was the son of James and Jennie Payden Lamb. He was a lifetime resident and was a postal worker at the Winterset Post Office from 1942 to 1969.
Mr. Lamb was a member of the First Christian Church, a past worthy patron of Eastern Star, a past master and 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge AF & AM, a past president of the Lakeview Country Club and a past trustee and elder of the First Christian Church. On Aug. 29, 1929, he was married to Grace McCants in Adel.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard Lamb of Greely, Colo.; a daughter, Marilyn of Des Moines; a brother, Charles of Creston; a sister, Maxine Younkin of San Marcos, Calif.; five grandchildren and one great- grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
