Blanche Cecyle Adams died Tuesday Oct. 20, 1981, at Colorado Lutheran Health Care Center, denver, Colo., after a long illness.
She was born Nov. 22, 1899 in Winterset and attended school in Winterset. She was the daughter of E. Alice Fosher and John M. Locke.
She was a member of the First Methodist Church, past president of the PTA, American Legion Auxiliary, Past Chief of Pythian Sisters, Past Noble Grand of Rebecca Lodge, member of WW I Auxiliary, and 42nd Rainbow Division Auxiliary and housemother of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity at Iowa State University.
She married Oren "Jack" Adams on Dec. 25, 1921.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Faulkner, Mrs. Marjorie Watson and Mrs. Martha Smith, all of the Denver area; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband; sisters, Eva Nelson and Doris Davis; brothers Harry B. and Verne L. Locke; infant brother Robert and a great-granddaughter.
The body is being returned to Winterset for burial. Funeral services will be held at Collins Funeral Home beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23.
