Verle Dennis Flood, 70, of Moorhead, Minn., died Oct 6, 1994 at the MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. Graveside services will be Thurs. Oct. at 10:30 at the Winterset Cemetery. The Rev. Bob Epperson will officiate the ceremony. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1-6 p.m. with family visitation 2-6 p.m.

He was born March 16, 1924 in Greenfield to Granville and Alda Fern (McGinnis) Flood. He married Margaret O'Neal in Winterset on June 6, 1948. He was an English teacher. He had lived in Winterset until 1948. He was a member of the ATO Fraternity and an army veteran of W.W. II.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving relatives include his wife; one daughter, Dorian Harvey and husband Dan of Lino Lake, Minn.; one sister, Velda Jean Hughes and husband Keith of Casper, Wyo.; and two grandchildren.
