Funeral services for Vada I. Shelley, 80, were held Mon. Dec. 10 at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Leonard Leslie officiating. She died December 5 at her residence.

She was born April 15, 1910 in Union County to Byron Jefferson and Gertie Lenore (Hiskey) Jackson. She was married to Cleo J. Shelley October 23, 1929 in Nevada, Iowa.

A Winterset resident since 1929, she was a homemaker and also worked for Brittains Furniture for 24 years. She was Past Noble Grand of Crown Rebekah Lodge No. 360 of Winterset and a 40 year member. She was Protestant.

She was preceding in death by her parents, her husband and a sister.

Surviving are a brother, Ralph Willard Lester Jackson of Peru; a sister Helen Maxine Jackson of Lorimor; and several nieces and nephews.

Burial was at Winterset Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Central Iowa.
