Death of Emil Allgeyer

Emil Allgeyer died Sunday, Nov. 9th at the old Allgeyer farm, west of Winterset, now the home of his brother and sister, Ed and Nora Allgeyer. Mr. Allgeyer was among the earlier settlers of the West Star neighborhood, his parents moving here from Illinois in 1867, when the son was sixteen years of age. About twenty years ago, he moved to Ponca City, Okla., where he continued to reside until the last year, when he came back here to make his home with brothers and sister. He was 73 years of age and unmarried.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic church, and burial made in the Winterset cemetery.

Surviving members of the family are two brothers, Ed and J. S. and one sister, Nora Allgeyer, all of whom reside in this vicinity.

Mr. Allgeyer was a man of kind heart and generous impulses, that won for him warm friends and this trait of character is attested in the benefactions provided for in his will, elsewhere mentioned in this paper.
