MRS. ANNA LUCAS FUNERAL HERE

Death of Former Winterset Resident Occurred in California Monday

Mrs. Anna Lucas, a long-time resident of Winterset, died Monday, Feb. 19, at Burlingame, Calif. The body will be returned to Winterset for funeral services and burial.

Mrs. Lucas, was 81 years of age. She was the widow of the late Oscar Lucas, a Winterset grocer for many years. Most of her life was spent in this community, but she lived in California for about 20 years.

She is survived by five daughters and three sons: Mrs. David Livingston of Washington, Ia., Mrs. Herman Pick of Oak Park, Ill., Mrs. Alberta Barrett of Berkeley, Calif., Mrs. Samuel Palmer of Sacramento, Calif., and Theresa Lucas of Burlingame; Carl Lucas of Salem, Ore., Paul Lucas of Sunnyvale, Calif., and George Lucas of Burlingame. She also leaves a brother, Lou Nehring of St. Charles; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Anderson-Wilson Funeral home in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. John Fink, pastor of the First United Presbyterian church hers. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
