Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, July 12, 1971, from the Macksburg Methodist church for Mrs. Blanche E. Cochran. She died last Friday at the Madison Manor Nursing Home in Winterset at the age of 89.
A daughter of Wm. W. and Jennie Ball Livingston, she was born Nov. 21, 1881 at Lorimor. On April 13, 1904, she was married to Fred Cochran. He preceded her in death in 1961.
Mrs. Cochran was a long-time resident of Madison county, and a member of the Methodist church at Macksburg.
Surviving are a son, Kirk Cochran of Lorimor; three daughters, Esther of Winterset, Mrs. Catherine Loehr of Lorimor and Mrs. Martha Caddy of Dearborn, Michigan, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Mae Hall of Rupert, Idaho.
Officiating at the service Monday afternoon was the Rev. Willis Grant. Burial was in Moon Cemetery south of Macksburg.
