BEN HARRELL OF WINTERSET DIES

Death Occurred Tuesday at Age of 79; Funeral This Friday

Benjamin D. Harrell of Winterset, member of a pioneer Scott township family died Tuesday, March 17, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. He was 79 years of age.

Mr. Harrell was born in this county, Jan 17, 1885, a son of Lewis and Elizabeth Van Buskirk Harrell. His life-time was spent in farming in this community until his retirement a few years ago when he moved into Winterset.

He was married at Winterset on March 20, 1910, to Neta M. Smith, who survives him. He also leaves a daughter, Mrs. Lester Gray of Winterset; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a brother, Clifford Harrell of Peru.

Funeral services will held this Friday at 2 p.m. from the Wilson Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Asa Smith, pastor of the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
