BEULAH NEWBURY DIED LAST FRIDAY

Madison County Resident Since 1935 Dies at Age of 74 Years

Mrs. Beulah F. Newbury of Winterset died last Friday June 16, at Memorial hospital here. She was 74 years of age.

Mrs. Newbury had been a resident of Madison county since 1935, moving here from Adair county. She was the former Beulah F. Jamison, daughter of Alonzo and Gertrude Woodson Jamison, and was born at Wiota January 1, 1893.

She was married to Robert E. Newbury at Menlo on January 3, 1912. His death occurred in 1954. She was preceded in death also by a son, Donald.

She was a member of the First Methodist church of Winterset.

Mrs. Newbury is survived by five children, Mrs. Ruth Josephsen of California, Mrs. Ruby Bruett of Patterson, Mrs. Berniece Van Dolah of Hacienta Heights, Calif.,Mrs. Elaine Lian of Sylmar, Calif., and Max E. Newbury of Winterset. She also leaves 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; a brother, Clyde Jameson/Jamison of Greenfield; and four sisters, Mrs. Alma Endres and Mrs. Myrle Dorsey of Greenfield , Mrs. Eva Jenkins of Winterset and Mrs. Maggie Roberts of Greenfield.

Funeral services were held Monday from the First Methodist church in Winterset, with the pastor, the Rev. Everett K. Burham officiating. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
