Funeral services for Nettie A. Niblo, 91, will be Thurs. January 7 at 1:30 p.m. at First United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Bauer officiating. Mrs. Niblo died January 4, 1993, at Winterset Care Center South. Burial will be at Penn Center Cemetery.
She was born April 10, 1901, in Madison County to David and Susan Mary (Gilliland) Fife. She married Freddie Niblo on October 12, 1919 in Pitzer. She was a lifelong county resident and with her husband, ran the sale barn cafe for over 16 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Presbyterian Women and the First United Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Robert Niblo and wife Mary; four brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Kuhns and husband Robert of Winterset; five grandchildren, Mary Ann Niblo and Robert Niblo, both of Des Moines; Annette Wildin of Booneville; and seven great-grandchildren, Alice Niblo and Robert Niblo, both of Des Moines, Amber and Quentin Kuhns of DeSota, and Branden, Evan, and Kyle Kuhns of Winterset.
Memorials may be sent to her church.
