Doris Dabney Vincent, 87, of Winterset, died April 2, 1996 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital of a respiratory aillment. Funeral services were held April 6, 1996, at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Dickerson officiating. Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery.
She was born in Madison County on Nov. 27, 1908 to Gaylord and Mary (Huston) Dabney. She married Harry R. Vincent on Jan. 30, 1929 in Highland Park, Ill. She was a Winterset High School graduate and a lifetime resident of Madison County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship, Good Neighbor Club and the First Christian Church in Winterset.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers; and four sisters.
Surviving relatives include two sons, James of Dallas, Texas, and Gaylard of Riverdale, Ill.; a daughter, Louise Hubbard of Pueblo, Colo.; a brother Charles Dabney of Vernon Hills, Ill.; a sister Alice Foster of New Port Richie, Fla.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church in Winterset.
