Harry R. Vincent, Winterset

Funeral services for Harry R. Vincent, 83, were held Mon. July 29 at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Leonard Leslie officiating. Mr. Vincent died July 24 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines.

Harry Russell Vincent was born March 14, 1908 in Madison County to Robert Worthington and Edna Nora (Young) Vincent. He married Doris Dabney January 30, 1929 in Highland Park, Ill. He was a Madison County resident for all but five years of his life, settling here in 1935. He was a member of First Christian Church and a Mason of Evening Star Lodge No. 43 of Winterset.

Harry R. Vincent was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

Surviving are his wife of Winterset; two sons, James R. of Dallas, Texas, and Gaylord D. of Chicago; a daughter, Louise V. Hubbard and husband, Bill of Pueblo. Colo.; a brother, Robert F. of Kansas City, Kan.; four sisters, Mary Ketzel of Reynolds, Ill., Irene Williams and Opal Pierick, both of Des Moines, and Eva Evans of Youngstown, Ohio; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Masonic graveside services were held at Winterset Cemetery by Evening Star Lodge No. 43. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church.
