Wednesday, October 23, 1968FRANCES HOLIDAY DIES AT 64 YEARS
Mrs. Frances E. Holiday of Winterset died Thursday, Oct. 17, at a Des Moines hospital, after an extended period of failing health. She was 64 years of age.
Mrs. Holiday was born in Clay Center, Kan., on Nov. 10, 1903, a daughter of John and Mary Frish Krebs. She had lived in Madison county the last 15 years, of which the last three years were spent in Winterset.
She is survived by her husband, Ben M. Holiday, to whom she was married in 1942. She also leaves a son and daughter by a former marriage, Clifford J. Blackburn of Greensboro, N. C. and Mrs. Maxine M. Taylor of Irving, Tex.; a foster daughter, Mrs. Ruth Jackson of Winterset; one grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Agnes Young of Des Moines; and a brother, Raymond Krebs of Nora Springs.
The rosary was recited for Mrs. Holiday Sunday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset. Requiem Mass was said Monday from St. Joseph's Catholic church in Winterset, by the pastor, the V. Rev. John W. Higgins. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
