Services for Wilbur T. Riser, 70, an Earlham native who died Jan 30 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, were held at 1:30 p.m. today, Feb. 2, at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Newton Coughenour officiating. Burial was at the Earlham Cemetery.
Born at Earlham April 13, 1912, he was the son of John and Mabel Ticknor Riser. He was a lifetime resident of the county, a member of the Methodist Church and the Winterset Lions Club.
Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Judy Mullin of Nashville, Tenn., and Mrs. Jo Ann Knudsen of Ballwin, Mo.; a brother, Wayne, of Gainsville, Fla.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Jo Ann Knudson of Ballwin, Missouri, Mrs. Judy Mullin of Nashville, Tennesee, a brother, Dr. Wayne H. Riser of Gainsville, Florida, and four grandchildren, Mike and Eric Knudsen, Kim and Chad Mullin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three infant grandchildren.
