Born Near Orient, Lived in Adair County Most of Life
Ernest C. Schulz, a well known farmer near Macksburg, died Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Memorial hospital in Winterset. He was 62 years of age.
Mr. Schulz was born near Orient on Nov. 24, 1892, a son of Otto and Christina Schulz, and lived most of his life in Adair county. He lived four years near Afton, and for the last 12 years had farmed near Macksburg.
He was married Dec. 24, 1914, to Madeline Sanders, who survives him. They were parents of two children.
He was a member of the Hebron Methodist church.
Mr. Schulz leaves his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Lee Wolfe of Winterset, a son, Rex Schulz of Orient; five grandchildren; three brothers, Will Schulz of Sidney, Nebr., Frank Schulz of Macksburg, and Ray Schulz of Winterset; and two sisters, Mrs. Louise Huffman and Mrs. Mattie Martin, both of Winterset.
Funeral services were held Monday from the Hebron church conducted by the Rev. A. R. Weed, assisted by the Rev. Earl Streylleler. Burial was made in the Hebron cemetery.
