Allen Farwell Rites Held at Greenfield

Funeral services were held October 24 from the Methodist church in Greenfield for Allen Farwell, former resident of Madison county, whose death occurred Oct. 20 at the Adair county Memorial hospital in Greenfield. The Rev. R. A. McBlain officiated at the services. Burial was made in the Greenfield cemetery.

Mr. Farwell was born in Cass county April 20, 1897, a son of Elijah and Ellen Farwell. Since he was 10 years of age his life had been spent in Adair and Madison counties.

He was married Aug. 27, 1922, to Leone Duff, who survives him. He also leaves five children, Mrs. Inez Woods of Winterset, Raymond Farwell of Omaha, Mrs. Dorothy Endres of Greenfield, Mrs. LaVaun Wright of Connell, Wash. and Charlotte Ann, at home. He also leaves eight grandchildren and three sisters.
