Services Held Here Monday With Burial at Union Chapel
Mrs. Ernest Vierling, a resident of Madison county for 65 years, died at the Memorial hospital in Winterset Saturday, Oct. 31st (1953). She was 65 years of age.
Mrs. Vierling was the former Maude Henrietta Campbell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Campbell. She was born at Beatrice, Nebr., on March 20, 1888, but came to this community as an infant.
She was married at the United Presbyterian parsonage in Winterset to Ernest Vierling on Sept. 29, 1908.
She was a member of the Zion Federated church, the Zion Ladies Aid, and the Hoosier Prairie club. She was also active in Farm Bureau women's work.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. T. J. Campbell of Winterset; her husband; four sons, Dr. C. C. Vierling of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Frederick, Jack and Eugene Vierling, all of Winterset; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday from the Richards Funeral, conducted by the Rev. Charles W. Bellus. Burial was made in Union Chapel cemetery.
