Edith Jamison, a lifetime resident of Madison county, died Thursday, Nov. 5, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. She was 82 years old.
Born in Peru on May 2, 1899, she was the daughter of Mack and Alice Foster Robinson.
On June 17, 1923, she married Paul F. Jamison in Adel. Five children were born to the couple.
Mrs. Jamison was a practical nurse and homemaker. She attended Zion Federated Church and belonged to Zion Ladies Aid and Farm Bureau.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Harry Robinson and a sister, Grace Christensen.
Survivors include her husband, Paul; three sons, Robert and Mack of Winterset and Rolland of Dubuque; two daughters, Eva Short and Shirley Jamison, both of Winterset; a brother Everett Robinson of Orlando, Fla.; three sisters, Gladys Simmons of Winterset, Eva Giddings of Ft. Jones, Calif., and Catherine Hiatt of Cannon City, Colo.; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 9, at First Christian Church, John Safford and Pastor George King officiating.
Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.
