Etta Marie Osborn, Winterset

Funeral services for Etta Marie Osborn, 87, were held Mon., April 13 at First United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Bauer officiating. Mrs. Osborn died of a respiratory ailment April 10 at Madison County Memorial Hospital.

A Madison County resident for the past 70 years, she was born October 13, 1904 in Adair County to Henry and Ruby (Bailey) Campfield and was baptized at age 13 at First United Presbyterian Church. She married Fenner Osborn on December 12, 1921 in Princeton, Mo. They were engaged in farming and operation of the Fenner Osborn Truck Line for a number of years.

Mrs. Osborn was a homemaker and member of First United Presbyterian Church and the Canasta Club. Following her husband's death in 1978, she went to live with her daughter Ethel Lee, of Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant daughter and a sister.

Surviving are a son, Don D. of Austin, Texas; three daughters, Ethel Lee Osborn of Winterset, Nita J. Wenzl of Tucson, Ariz. and Norma L. Hope of Des Moines; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Burial was at Peru Cemetery. Memorial contributions may made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
