George-Services for John "Jack" Chadwick-

Relatives here received word of the death of John Chadwick, 75, of Vancouver, WA. at the home of his son, Earl and family. Death was attributed to heart attack. Mr and Mrs Chadwick moved to Washington last fall to make their home with their son. In March of this year, he returned to Sheldon, his former home to sell his residence property there and visit relatives in George, at that time before returning to Washington. Earl Chadwick and the body of the deceased arrived in George, Friday. His brother, Leslie, went Friday lto Sheldon to help in the arrangements. John was united in marriage to Addie Shaffer, March 29, 1897. To this union, one son, Earl, was born.

The Chadwick's farmed for many years in the vicinity of Matlock and George, later moving to Sheldon, IA where he was employed at the Chase Lumber Co. for a number of years.

Surviving, besides his wife, are one son, Earl Chadwick and one grandson, Lloyd, of Vancouver, WA.; Ethel, Mrs Ade Rachuy, of Rushmore, MN; Pearl, Mrs G.B. Winch, and one brother, Leslie, both of George, IA.

Preceding him in death besides his parent's were one sister and four brothers, John was born in Illinois June 24, 1876. He passed away May 20, 1952, reaching the age of 75yrs. 10 months and 20 days.

Services for John were at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in George, IA.

Interment in the Evergree Lawn Cemetery at George, IA.
