Leo was born to Mr. and Mrs. Cornie Van Tol on May 7, 1933 in the town of Doon, where he lived all his life except for a short time when he was employed at Grand Rapids, MI. He was educated in the Doon Christan School and Western Christian High School.

Leo Glenn Van Tol attained the age of 19 years, 8 months and 21 days. He died January 28, 1953 at about 12:20 AM as the passenger in a fatal automobile accident near Doon.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cornie Van Tol, a sister Kitty Joy and four brothers, Joe Donley, Conley Veryle, Kenneth Jon and Audley David. He is also survived by his Grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mulder, Mrs. Lane Van Tol and his Great Grandfather 94 year old John Otten, Sr.

Funeral services were conducted at the Doon Christan Reformed Church with the Reverend Carl Toeset officiating. Miss Margery Caswell, a high school class mate of the deceased, rendered organ music at the rite. A mixed quartet sang "God's Way" and "Waiting on Jesus." John Vander Ark of Hull sang "God Understands." Pallbearers were Earl Gort, Gerald Otten, Joe Van Engen, Herman Gorter, Lester Moget and LeRoy Te Slaa. Interment was made in the Doon Cemetery.
