Cornie Van Tol, 71, died Friday December 28, 1979 at the Hegg Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Services were held Monday at the First Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Roger Bultman officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetary at Doon, Iowa, with the Porter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Cornie Van Tol was born March 19, 1908, at Sioux Center, Iowa. He married Annetta Mulder on October 5, 1932, at Doon, Iowa. They lived in Grand Rapids, Michigan, for 20 years, and moved to Rock Valley, Iowa, in October 1977.

Survivors include the widow; four sons; Joe of Rock Valley, Iowa, Conley of Paw Paw, Michigan, Kenneth of Caledonian, Michigan, and David of Sioux Center, Iowa; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Kit) Kooima of Rock Valley, Iowa. Also surviving him are two brothers; Maynard of Sanborn, Iowa, and William of Ripon, Calif.; two sisters; Mrs. Neal Groendyke of Sanborn, Iowa and Mrs. Ike Steensma of Luverne, Minnesota, as well as 14 grandchildren.
