Ella Grooters, 95, of George died Wednesday, July 9, 1997, at Merrill Pioneer Community Hospital, Rock Rapids.

Services were Sunday at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, George, with interment in Evergreen Lawn Cemetery.

Ella Ossenfort was born Sept. 5, 1901, at Boyden. She attended country school. On Sept. 12, 1924, she married Arie Grooters. They lived near Boyden and George, retiring to George.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth of Verdi, Minn., and Norman of Vancouver, Wash.; one daughter, Mrs. Keith (Helen) Starr of Loveland, Colo.; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
