Funeral services for Arie Grooters of George

Funeral services for Arie Grooters, age 72, of George who died Sunday at 1:35 a.m. at Merrill Pioneer Community hospital will be held Wednesday afternoon at Ebenezer Presbyterian church of George.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. W. Nicholson officiating at the funeral. Burial will be in Evergreen Lawn cemetery of George.

Grooters was born January 5, 1901, in Boyden to Mr. and Mrs. William Grooters. He married Ella Ossenfort of Boyden September 12, 1924, in Boyden.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Keith (Helen) Starr of Emmetsburg; two sons, Kenneth of George, Norman of Vancouver, Wash.; two brothers, George of Bismarck, N.D., Henry of Sanborn; three sisters, Mrs. George (Margaret) Kloote of Holland, Mich., Mrs.
Houston (Jean) Calvin of Ann Arbor, Mich., Mrs. Joe (Marie) De Vries of Sheldon. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Vogelaar Funeral borne of George.
