Riley Rose Meyer age 9 of George, IA passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at her home in George, IA, as a result of a house fire.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Monday, February 12th at Faith Baptist Church in Rock Rapids, IA, with Pastor Jeff Poppinga officiating.

Visitation will be Monday from 9:30 AM, until the hour of service at the church.

Riley Rose Meyer was born December 9, 2008 in Sibley, Iowa, the daughter of Jason Meyer and Heather Wilkerson. She lived in George and grew up in Rock Rapids, Iowa where she was a student at Central Lyon Elementary School.

A few of the things Riley most enjoyed include playing with her friends, singing in front of the mirror in her room and holding babies. She also enjoyed going to amusement parks, riding bike with her siblings and friends and riding go-cart at her dad’s. She participated in AWANA at Faith Baptist Church in Rock Rapids and was a member of the third-grade basketball team.

Riley was a very happy little girl and always had a smile on her face.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Heather Wilkerson; her father, Jason Meyer; stepfather, Robert Olson Jr.; three sisters, Alexis Rose Meyer, Arianna Marie Olson and Emmalu Marie Olson; two brothers, Deven Meyer and Blake Meyer; grandmothers Carolyn Hughes and Cathy Schroeder; step-grandmother, Cassie Olson; grandfathers Dennis Folkens and LeRoy Schroeder; step-grandfather, Robert Olson Sr; and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends that love her very much.
