Grace Kruse, age 99, of Sibley, Iowa, formerly of Bigelow, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2015, at Sibley Nursing and Rehab in Sibley.

Memorial Services will be Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 2:30 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Sibley, Iowa. Rev. Marvin Kanengieter officiating.

Graveside Services will be Sunday, March 15 at 1:00 P.M. at Pleasant View Cemetery in Little Rock, Iowa. Rev. Doug Noonkester officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 14 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. with the family present at the Andringa Funeral Home in Sibley.

Grace Henrietta Kruse was born on February 20, 1916 in Little Rock, Iowa. She was the daughter of Dick and Sena (Brands) Mulder. She lived her youth in the Little Rock, Iowa and Ellsworth, Minnesota area, where she attended a country school.

She was united in marriage to George A. Kruse of George, Iowa on November 9, 1939. They farmed near George, Iowa until 1959, when they moved to a farm by Bigelow, Minnesota and Grace started selling Avon products. In 1981, they retired and moved to Bigelow. They moved to Sibley in 2001.

George passed away on November 6, 2001.
Grace was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sibley, where she taught preschool Sunday School for many years.

She was an avid baker and made many decorated cakes and cookies. She sold Avon products for 35 years.

In 2007, Grace moved to the Sibley Nursing and Rehab where she passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2015.

Those left to cherish her memories are her 3 daughters: Donna Wachter and special friend Marvin Wulf of Sioux Falls, SD, Carol and husband Robert Henning of Sheldon, IA, Lorae and husband Brian Current of Forest City, IA; son-in-law: Daryl Thies of Sibley, IA; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Kruse; daughter, Georgia Thies; two grandchildren; her parents; brother, John Mulder; sister, Luella Kruse.
