Mina Burggraaf, 87, of Rock Rapids died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004, at her home.

Services were Thursday at First Reformed Church, Rock Rapids, with interment in Riverview Cemetery.

Mina Rens was born Aug. 16, 1916, in Perkins, the daughter of John and Mina (Van Maanen) Rens.

She attended Perkins Christian School, then worked for various families in the Perkins area.
On March 28, 1945, she married Arie Burggraaf. They farmed northwest of Rock Rapids until 1971 when they moved into Rock Rapids.

Her husband died June 30, 1999. In late December 2003, she moved to Rosewood Heights apartments.

Survivors include one son, Alvin of Mt. Pleasant; one daughter, Joan Snowberger of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Albert of Hull, Marvin of Hills, Minn., and Delmar of Sun Valley, Calif., and two sisters, Bertie Bolks and Janet Kroese, both of Hull.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Marlys Menning; one great-granddaughter, Alison; one brother, Robert, and one sister, Angeline Bekius.
