Nancy Timmer, 85, of Chanute, Kan., died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003, at Heritage Health Center.

Services were Dec. 22 at First Reformed Church, Sheldon, with interment in East Lawn Cemetery.
Nancy Klingenberg was born Feb. 10, 1918, near George, the daughter of Klaas and Lena (Hassebroek) Klingenberg. She attended country school in the George area.

On Oct. 14, 1940, she married Ekke Timmer in South Sioux City, Neb. They farmed near Sibley until 1949 when they moved to the Sheldon area. They retired from farming in 1985 and moved into Sheldon in 1991.

Her husband died Aug. 1, 1999. In 2000, she moved to Kansas.

Survivors include one son, Keith of Sheldon; one daughter, Mrs. Roger (Trudy) Bryant of Yates Center, Kan.; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three brothers, Glen of Sibley and Willis and Klaas, both of George, and one sister, Mabel Voss of Sheldon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons; one brother, Roy, and one sister, Martha.
