LORENZA JANETTE KRUSE, age 80, of Jasper, died Friday, December 28, 2012, at the Tuff Memorial Home in Hills.

She was born May 5, 1932, in Pipestone County, Minnesota, to Jake and Esther (Christians) Timmer. She attended country school in Lyon County, Iowa.

Lorenza married James Kruse on February 6, 1959, in George, Iowa. The couple farmed in various communities including Little Rock, Iowa; Kanaranzi, Leota & Jasper, Minnesota. Lorenza became a resident of the Tuff Memorial Home in October of 2008. At Tuff, she enjoyed their activities which included the Red Hatters, bingo, special music & tea time.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Luverne. Lorenza was a homemaker. She enjoyed polka music, The Lawrence Welk Show, baking, cooking, canning and her children & grandchildren.

Lorenza is survived by her husband, James Kruse, Jasper; seven children, Cheryl (special friend, Mike) Kruse, Pipestone; Charlene Kruse, Pipestone; Daryl (Shirlene) Kruse, Worthington; David (Kristina) Kruse, Jasper; Lorie (Harlan) Kruid, Steen; Lorin (Jami) Kruse, Baltic, SD; and Chellsea (fiancée, Alex Freeman), Pipestone; seventeen grandchildren, Justin, Dalton, Whitney, Jennifer, Michael, Brookelynn, Jordyn (fiancée, Josh), Ryan, Heidi (Fiancee, Josh), Randi ((Rob), Tyler, Derek, Larissa, Nathan, Jenna, Jayden & Anthony; two brothers, Arthur (Gertrude) Timmer, Little Rock, IA; and Marvin Timmer, Ireton, IA; a sister, Janelle (Keith) Van Drunen, George, IA; brother-in-law, Louis Gene Kruse; many nieces & nephews; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Timmer.

Visitation will be from 4-8pm Sunday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne; and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Funeral will be 2pm Monday at the United Methodist Church, in Luverne, officiated by Rev. Kristie Franken. Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne.
