Meta Mae (Messner) Zornig – December 4, 1898 – July 12, 1976

Services for Meta M. Zornig, 77, of 932 S. Blaine Ave., who died Monday in a local hospital, will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the George Boom Funeral Home.

Meta Messner was born December 4, 1898, on a farm near West Bend, Iowa. She moved to Missouri as a child and to the Lester, Iowa, area as a young woman. She married Otto Zornig in Alvord, Iowa, September 11, 1919.
They farmed near Lester. He died in 1935. She moved to Sioux Falls shortly after his death.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Vincent Treutlein, Denver; 12 grandchildren; seven great0grandchildren; two sisters; Mrs. George Rickerman, Trosky, Minnesota; and Mrs. Lena Nester, Sioux Falls,; and a brother; John, Sioux Falls.

Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Rock Rapids, Iowa.
