Grace (Jurrens) Boomgaarden Eihausen – January 2, 1915 – August 10, 2008

Grace was born on January 2, 1915 on a farm near Ellsworth, Minnesota, the daughter of Ubbe and Jacobena (Ullman) Jurrens. She received her education at country schools near Ellsworth.

Grace married Ben Boomgaarden and they lived at Ellsworth for many years. She worked as cook at the Ellsworth School and then at Safeway Grocery in Adrian. She also worked at Campbells Soup Cornnpany in Worthington for several years, retiring in 1977.

Grace was united in marriage to Marvin Eihausen on February 17, 1970 at the Adrian Methodist Church. They lived in Adrian all their married life. Grace was 93 years old when she passed away on August 10, 2008 at the Sanford Luverne Hospital.

Grace enjoyed playing cards, visiting residents at the nursing home and attending activities at the Adrian Senior Citizens. She was a long-time member of Adrian United Methodist Church.
