Rose Mary (Eihausen) Borman – February 2, 1928 – December 26, 2011

SERVICES HELD FOR ROSE MARY BORMAN
Rose Mary Borman, 83, Rock Rapids, Iowa, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2011, at Sanford Hospital in Rock Rapids.

A funeral service was Friday, Dec. 30, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rock Rapids. Burial followed at Riverview Cemetery in Rock Rapids.

Rose Mary Eihausen was born Feb. 2, 1928, to George and Jennie (Buss) Eihausen in Rock Rapids. She attended country school in the Rock Rapids area and graduated from Wilson High School in Rock Rapids. After graduation she attended Westmar College in LeMars, Iowa, and earned a teaching certificate. She taught in country schools for several years.

On Oct. 9, 1949, she married Kenneth Borman at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rock Rapids. After their marriage, she retired from teaching to raise her family and help her husband on the farm. Due to declining health, she became a resident of the Rock Rapids Health Centre in August 2011.

She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed gardening, canning her produce and raising chickens. She enjoyed visits from family and friends.

Mrs. Borman is survived by two daughters, Bonnie (David) Goldston, Bentleyville, Ohio, and Kimberle (David) Miller, George, Iowa; two sons, Keith (Lori) Borman and Brian (Terri) Borman, all of Rock Rapids; eight grandchildren, five step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Kathryn Newborg, Rock Rapids, and Phyllis Moeller, Denver, Colo.; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Borman; two sisters, Alice Huls and Bertha "Babe" Weatherbee; and two brothers, Albert and Marvin Eihausen.
