Obituary:

Inwood, Iowa - Eva Severson, 96, died Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Fellowship Village, Inwood.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Inwood. Burial will be at Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery. Reverend John Wolf will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday until 4 p.m. at Porter Funeral Home, Inwood. Visitation will continue Sunday with the family present from 6 - 8 p.m. and a prayer service beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

Eva Jeannette Egge was born August 19, 1911 to Julius and Engaborg (Davidson) Egge in Lakewood, Iowa. Growing up in the Klondike area she attended country school through the 8th grade. Eva was united in marriage to Omar Severson on August 21, 1929 in Klondike, Iowa. Together they farmed in the Inwood-Canton area until they moved to the family farm northwest of Inwood in 1942 and later retired in 1968.

Eva was an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, participating in numerous activities including their family night suppers and WELCA. She enjoyed baking buns and angel food cakes from scratch, knitting, trips to Texas and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Eva is survived by two sons: Joel (Maryann) Severson of San Antonio, Texas, Les (Barb) Severson of Inwood; six grandchildren: Allen (Janna) Severson of Larchwood, Iowa, Pam (Randy) McKenney of Inwood, Iowa, Jill (Alan) Holfinger, Jay Severson, Scott Goetsch of all San Antonio, Sherry Sullivan of Torrance, Calif.; 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Omar Severson; daughter, Karoline Sullivan; brother, Burney Egge.
