Obituary:
Inwood, Iowa: Tillie Bobeldyk, 91, died Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at Fellowship Village, Inwood. Funeral Service will be 1:30 pm Friday at Bethel United Methodist Church, Inwood. Burial at Richland Cemetery. Pastor Steve Swenson will be officiating. Visitation will be Thursday with the family present 5-7 pm at Porter Funeral Home, Inwood.

Tillie Keizer was born on May 29, 1915 at Rock Valley, daughter of Jim and Gertrude (DeGroot) Keizer. She married John Bobeldyk on February 14, 1938 at Rock Valley and together they lived at Inwood. After John's death on March 16, 1962, Tillie took on many jobs from waitressing to cleaning in homes, school, post office, and library.

She enjoyed and continued cleaning the city office until she was 90 years old. Tillie enjoyed activities including doing needlework, baking, making jelly, and spending time with family and friends. In 1995 she was awarded a certificate of appreciation from the Inwood Kiwanis Club for helping prepare the noon meals for 37 years. She moved to the Fellowship Village on December 12, 2006.

Tillie is survived by her daughter, Marcella Gerritson of Rapid City, South Dakota; son, Jerry (Ora) Bobeldyk of Worthington, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Vicky Johnson, Allen Gerritson, James Gerritson, Mike Bobeldyk, and Tim Bobeldyk; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Clara Buffington and Viola Menning both of Sheldon, Iowa; three sister-in-laws, Nellie Keizer of Akron, Iowa, Alberta Dodeward and Irene Van Boeyen both of Port Orchard, Wash.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John; son-in-law, Tom Gerritson; brother, Sam Keizer; two sisters, Henrietta Reitsma and Sadie Breugem.
