Obituary: Inwood, Iowa: Kim Mullinix, 59, of Inwood, died Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. Memorial service with the cremated remains will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2012 at the Porter Funeral Home in Inwood, IA. Visitation with the family will follow until 5:00 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.porterfuneralhomes.com .

Kim was born on November 2, 1952 in Canton, SD the son of Carroll Swede and Marjorie (Wilcox) Mullinix. Kim attended school until the eighth grade and began working at his dad’s business, The OK Body Shop later called Bill and Swede’s Body Shop. On June 10, 1972 Kim was united in marriage to Sue Larson in Canton, SD. In 1989 they moved to Inwood, IA and he later worked at the Inwood Body Shop. Kim moved to the Fellowship Village in July 2007.

Kim is survived by his wife, Susan ‘Sue’ Mullinix of Inwood; daughters, Kimberly (Chris) Hackney of Sioux Falls, SD and Heather (David) De Boer of Little Rock, IA; sons, Josh (Bethany) of Inwood, IA and Travis (Sarah) of Larchwood, IA; brothers Mike and Claude (Claire) both of Sioux Falls, SD; and sister, Cheryle (Bill) Saures of Canton, SD.

Kim was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Chad Kollis; brother, John (Faye); sister, Carrie Snedeker; brother-in-law, Art Kroger; and twin grandchildren, Matthew and Sophia De Boer.
