VINCENT PENNING

A memorial gathering of friends was held at Sonny's Tavern in Springfield for Vincent "Vince" Penning of Eugene, who died July 14, 2011 of age-related causes.

He was born Nov. 23,1932, in Doon Iowa, to Louis and Agnes Kuhl Penning.

He held a master of arts degree from the University of South Dakota. He retired after 35 years of teaching in Huron, S.D.

Survivors indued a brother, Jay of Springfield; and a sister, Dolores Penning of Los Angeles.
Inurnment will be in September at Larchwood cemetery in Iowa.
