Fred Anderson, 76, of Doon, died Saturday in the Veterans hospital in Sioux Falls after a long illness.

Services were held Wednesday in the Porter Funeral Home, the Rev. David Waterman officiating; burial in Hillside Cemetery, Doon.

He was born in Hardin, Illinois; married Esther Lutzke in 1956 in Omaha; was a veteran of WW II. Survivors include the widow.
