Ruby Miller, 83, of Sioux Falls, S.D., died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at her home.

Services were Saturday at Miller Funeral Home Chapel, Sioux Falls, with interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Ruby Madland was born Oct. 20, 1916, in Inwood. She grew up and graduated from school in Inwood. She then worked at various .department stores in Sioux Falls. She moved to Chicago where she began working for a transportation company.

In 1947, she married Grant Miller in Chicago. They lived there for a time before moving to San Diego, Calif, where she sold real estate several years. They moved back to Sioux Falls in 1989.

Survivors include her husband; two brothers, Ernie of Arizona and Palmer of Washington, and one sister, Oneva Madland of Inwood.
